On August 8, 2019, at the invitation of Dr. Liu Mingjun, General Manager of Guoyang Precision Machinery, Professor Wang Xiaolei, Head of the Design Department of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, paid a visit to our company, attended the 4th Advanced Technology Lecture of NRDC, and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Surface Design and Regulation of Surface Properties". Nearly 200 employees from various departments of NRDC attended the lecture.

After Professor Wang's arrival, General Manager Liu Mingjun introduced the basic situation of the R&D company to Professor Wang in detail, and led the heads of various technical centers to accompany the guest to visit the laboratory. During the visit, Professor Wang listened with great interest to the introduction of various testing and analytical equipment and related technologies. From time to time, he raised various questions about the technical status of GYJ products in various application fields such as automobiles and railways, provided relevant information, and had a full exchange. Professor Wang visited GYJ five or six years ago. Recalling the situation at that time, Professor Wang gave a high evaluation of the rapid improvement of NRDC's technical strength.   

After the visit, a lecture on advanced technology was held. Starting from the significant impact of the surface condition of objects on mechanical design, Professor Wang introduced many interesting examples of surface texturing technology and the latest technological trends. Focusing on the creeping and control of lubricating oil, Professor Wang also provided a detailed introduction to the recent research achievements of the team led by him. For the technicians of NRDC, this not only broadened their horizons but also inspired them a great deal. After the lecture, in response to the various questions raised enthusiastically by the participants, Professor Wang patiently gave detailed answers and explanations.   

Professor Wang Xiaolei has long been engaged in the research of surface engineering and tribology. His current main research directions include surface bionic manufacturing, the design theory of surface texture, etc. He has won the third prize of the National Invention Award and the first prize of the Ministry-level Science and Technology Progress Award, and has been honored with multiple titles such as "Six Major Talent Peaks" in Jiangsu Province.

Professor Wang has successively presided over and undertaken major projects such as the National 863 Program and the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published more than a hundred related papers, which have been cited more than two thousand times in SCI-indexed journals. Currently, he serves as the chairperson of the Magnetic Fluid Society and a member of several academic committees, as well as an editorial board member of academic journals such as the *Tribology* journal.

The lecture on advanced technology is one of the external academic exchange activities of Guoyang Precision Machinery. Its aim is to promote academic exchanges, broaden horizons, improve technical literacy, and stimulate employees' enthusiasm for delving into and developing new technologies and products. The basic form is to invite renowned experts and scholars to introduce the cutting-edge trends and achievements in the field of science and technology. The technical lecture is held once a year, and this is the fourth session.
